About CAN 2026 - Constitutional Accountability Now

CAN2026 is an independent, nonpartisan public-accountability initiative created to assemble, verify, and preserve the public record of those who hold or seek government power.

The information needed to evaluate public officials exists, but it is scattered across election records, congressional votes, campaign-finance filings, court documents, ethics reports, government audits, executive actions, and years of reporting.

CAN2026 brings that information together so voters, journalists, researchers, and the public can examine the complete documented record in one place.

The purpose is not to tell people what to think. It is to make the evidence accessible, understandable, and difficult to erase.

OUR PURPOSE

CAN2026 exists to create a permanent, usable record of public power and how it is exercised.

The archive documents the people who hold or seek public office, the decisions they make, the interests that finance their campaigns, and the institutions responsible for oversight and accountability.

That record includes elections, congressional votes, Supreme Court rulings, executive orders, cabinet appointments, government compensation, campaign finance, ethics matters, legal proceedings, public controversies, agency actions, and failures of oversight.

CAN2026 does not support or oppose political parties or candidates. It does not alter its documentation standards based on who holds office.

Its purpose is to preserve the evidence, identify what is known and unresolved, and give the public a reliable record that can be examined over time.

WHAT EXISTS TODAY

CAN2026 is already assembling a broad record of activity across the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of the federal government.

The developing archive currently includes:
